The ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 Review

What a great way to finish 2019 cricket world cup.A high voltage drama at the end with scores being equal even in the super over.England and New Zealand were inseparable till the last ball but due to a controversial boundary count rule England were declared champions.

India was impressive with there dominant performances in group stage but failed against gutted New Zealand bowling attack in semis. Austraila lost to there arch rivals due to batting collapse against the new bowl. While Pakistan just missed out a place in semi final due to low net run rate but were impressive in later half of the tournament after making a sloppy start to the cup.

There were some tremendous individual performance in this world cup and players  almost single handedly won games for there teams in certain situations.
Some carried there team through difficult phase in a game or some teams just relied on certain players during this Cup.
Talking about my best 3 performances in a game in this cup,it would be 1.Carlos Braithwaite's knock against new Zealand, 2.Ravindra Jadeja's 3 dimensional display against New Zealand and the warriors knock from 3.Ben Stokes against the black  caps in the finals. Although the former 2 couldn't finish it for there teams.Ben stokes succeeded when it mattered the most.

Talking about team of the tournament I picked players who made a better impact rather than better stats. Here is my 2019 world cup Xl team-

1.Rohit Sharma- the man with 5 centuries and most runs in the tournament is an automatic choice. He was reliable and has understood the importance of his wicket.

2.Jason Roy - Maybe Bairstow,Warner and finch had more runs than Roy,it was just his sheer impact in the team that made difference for England.Didnt played 2 games due to injury and England suffered in both the games.

3.Kane Williamson - The man of the tournament and also captain of my team was just so dependable in every situation for black caps. He made contribution in every game and while other batsmen struggled on English pitches he was absolutely rock solid while batting.

4.Virat Kohli - Didn't turned out to be the best of the cup for him but such is his quality that he still managed to score 5 consecutive half centuries in the cup.The only thing missing from his game was he couldn't convert those starts into a big score, but in my opinion deserves a place in world Xl.

5.Shakib al Hasan - Suprise package in this world cup he was just amazing with the bat and ball.Bangladesh relied on him for almost every game and he certainly gave his best for the team.

6.Ben Stokes - England's man of the moment was on top of his game.He had that hunger and desire to win it for England in every game.England heavily relied on him during crunch situations and was teams lone fighter during  there loses against Sri Lanka and Australia.

7.Alex Carey - The wicket keeper Batsman had a tournament to remember and scored those important quick runs at the back end of the innings. With Maxwell struggling he took the responsibility of finishing the innings for Australia and also ended up as 3rd highest run getter for Australia.

8.Michel Starc - He was just deadly and leathal at the start and death overs. His final spells against New Zealand, Pakistan and England in the group stage were just unplayable. He ended the tournament as the highest wicket taker.

9.Loki Ferguson - He suprised every Batsman with his pace.New Zealand's highest wicket taker was at peak of his form. With Boult,Henry and Southee he is lesser rated players in new Zealand line up but, he was lethal and managed to pick up wickets in middle over which is very crucial in winning games.

10.Jofra Archer - The man who was questioned for his suprise inclusion in the England squad, proved his doubters wrong with his excellent bowling performance. He was exceptional with the new bowl and bowled that nervy super over against New Zealand in the final.

11.Jasprit Bumrah - He delivered in every single game and gave India wickets in crucial stages. His Yorkers were spot on and he just conceded a single six through out the tournament.

Special mention to David Warner, Bairstow, root and Boult who missed out in my squad but my 12th man would be Ravindra Jadeja for his fielding skills and also made the most of the opportunity he got in last 2 games.
So,this was my review about the 2019  cricket world cup, also comment your favourite performance or player in the tournament.

Review on what union budget 2019 had to offer for Sports.

Union budget for Sports 2019

Nirmala Sitharaman became the second women Finance minister to present the budget after Indira Gandhi in 1970. She said that this budget is the first step for realising the dream of 'New India'.

The Union budget did not change the interim allocations set aside for sports but widening the scope of BJP's own  ‘Khelo India’ program, She announced the setting up of a National Sports Education Board (NSEB) in the first Budget of its second term.
This intiative will definitely help sports reach till grass root level of the country. The (NSEB) will also make sure to create a sporting culture in the country with which India can reach its full potential in sports.

Major changes were made during interim budget by Piyush Goyal and Nirmala Sitharaman didn't touched those aspects.

During the interim budget last year the Khelo India National Programme for Development of Sports had got a hike of Rs 50.31 crore  and from the previous allocation of Rs 550.69 crore, it is now Rs 601 crore.
The allocation to SAI had also been increased by Rs 55 crore.

So overall not much to talk about the changes in union bugdet for sports but the setting of  National sports education board is definitely an important aspect added for development of Indian sports.
